Christmas Digs

I would love to have a nice Christmas party and invite every one over for Lasagna and a nice glass of wine. We wouldn't all fit! So instead, I'll share some pictures of my decorations this year.

This is the little tree in our living room. This room is small, but we spen a lot of time in there so I wanted to have a tree to enjoy. This tree is decorated with colorful ornaments that we've collected over time. There's lots of decorations that the kids made when they were little too. The best part? That topper! It's the topper that sat on top of all of my childhood Christmas trees! Normally I don't have it lit, but Steve rewired it for me this year.

I love vintage stuff. A lot of the things in this room are from my childhood or from Steve's grandmother Rozzella. I especially like to have those out. She was a practical, honest lady and I wish I could have gotten to know her better.

Onto the kitchen....

The kitchen is all white with pink, blue and green. Very untraditional, but I like it.

The big tree is in the larger living room. This is were we spend most of our time on the big day. You can see it from every other room down stairs too.
This tree is decorated with mostly white, silver and gold.
over the last couple years we've started adding picture frame ornaments. It's fun to see the wedding photos, baby pictures and even a childhood picture of Grampa Ken.

It think that's it....oh, wait....

Too much??

Baby Alexandria's nursery

So finally getting things calmed down around here and able to do some artsie stuff. We are expecting our first AND second grand babies this spring and summer. My daughter lives close by so she's letting me paint and decorate the nursery. (Sure wish I could do it for both babies.)

The room was painted in bright pink and white stripes when she moved in. Someone worked really hard on it. (I kind of makes me feel bad as I imagine a poor little girl with her freshly painted dream room who can't enjoy it since her parents lost their home.)
Ashley wanted a more gender nuetral theme so we're takin' it outside! We started with white primer....lots of primer!

We then painted the walls blue and added the first layer of grass. Oh, and clouds.
We started the tree this weekend and grampy installed the "sunshine". I'll share pics of that soon. I'm so excited!
